General Scope

The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and complete daily/future scheduling of all hourly employees for Cataldo and Atlantic divisions

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all ALS, BLS, and Chair Car shifts are assigned and staffed

  • Proactively contact members via phone, texting, and email to fill shifts as needed

  • Maintain the computerized scheduling system

  • Ensure appropriate experience and/or skill level is assigned to all units

  • Provide all hours available to full-time, part-time, and per diem ALS, BLS, and Chair Car personnel

  • Review, approve, and un-approve swap and vacation requests

  • Guarantee minimal usage of overtime by providing hours/shifts to part time and per diem employees

  • All other duties as assigned

    Qualifications & Experience

  • EMT-B or EMT-P experience a plus

  • Strong computer skills and demonstrated experience with the Microsoft Office Suite and Google Documents

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters in a professional manner

  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills required
