Job Title: Driver Training Specialist
Location: Malden, MA, may also include other locations
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Shifts: Per Diem
- Prepares and delivers instruction of new EMT’s, Paramedics & Chair Car Drivers
under the direction of the Director of Education.
2. Assists with refining driver training curriculum.
3. Evaluates new hires to driving skills and training needs.
4. Evaluates learner progress and provides feedback.
5. Reviews training materials to ensure accurate and up-to-date
9. Course instructor for EVOS education.
10. Collaborates with various departments to ensure smooth
transition from new hire status to employee.
11. Schedules new hires for required Ride Time.
12. Run remedial skills sessions for employees as
13. Participates in professional development programs as
14. Participates in faculty meetings, as needed.
15. Adheres to policies and procedures, and relevant quality and
safety standards of the CEC.

Required Qualifications (Minimum)
Knowledge/ Education: High School Graduate
Experience: Experience as an Emergency Vehicle Operations instructor or other
teaching experience. Commitment to providing exemplary customer
service. Approval will be on a case-by-case basis following review of
all submitted documents
Licenses, Registrations, Certifications:
Current MA Driver’s License (CDL preferred) CPR certified, must be able to pass a
background check, including CORI, must be able to pass a drug screen and lift test. Covid-19 Vaccination required.
Knowledge/ Education: EVOS/EVOC provider and/or Instructor
Experience: Experience as an Emergency Vehicle Operator Instructor or other
teaching experience. Previous driving experience of large commercial vehicles. Fire & Emergency Services Instructor Certification. Experience with education standards in other associated fields, member of education or related standards committee.
